In 1932, H&H Service Store was a full-service gas station in downtown Brunswick. The philosophy was simple – unmatched customer service and unwavering integrity. Today, that commitment stands strong.

Over the last 90 plus years, H&H evolved into H&H Lifestyles, a full-service appliance, electronics, electrical, and lifestyle specialist. Our focus is no longer on gas and tires, but on audio, video, security, appliance, and electrical products, as well as our well-known white-glove installation and service offerings.

We’re proud to be the opposite of a big-box provider, with a hands-on approach to ensuring superior product choice, pricing, and service.

Our history wouldn’t be possible without the support of our customers. We look forward to continuing to serve those who have trusted us for generations – and creating more relationships for years to come.

1932

Roy Smith & Ernest Nutt purchased H&H Service Store, a full-service gas station, from Mr. Hood & Mr. Harrington.

1940s

New Products were introduced, including tires and service.

1950s

Appliances and TVs were added, along with TV services.

1973

Bill Brunson (Mr. Smith’s son-in-law) became involved in the business and, upon Mr. Smith’s retirement, became president.

Early 1980s

Furniture became the newest H&H department.

1986

H&H moved across town to a renovated showroom at 4990 Altama Avenue and became H&H Furniture, Appliances, Electronics.

1994

Trey Brunson (Roy Smith’s grandson) came home to work at H&H.

1997

H&H began a new era of Custom AV Sales and installation.

2007

Bill and Sandra Brunson retired, and Laurie Watson and Trey Brunson were promoted to President and Vice President. H&H began offering Electrical Services to support its growing Lighting Control business.

2011

H&H moved its showroom to St. Simons Island at Retreat Village. Ms. Watson retired, and Mr. Brunson took over as President of H&H Service Store Inc.

2024

H&H moved its primary warehouse operation to a new 37,000 sq ft Operations Center in Brunswick, housing appliances, audio-video, electrical, and all services team members.
